These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the puzzle game ("the Mystery") offered via our website. By purchasing or accessing the Mystery, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Product Description
The Mystery is a digital, browser-based interactive story that includes a series of puzzles and challenges. It is accessible via a personal link provided after purchase.
3. Purchase and Access
Purchases are processed through Paddle, our payment provider. Upon successful purchase, you will receive a unique, personal link to the email address you provided during checkout. This link grants access to the Mystery via a compatible web browser.
4. Delivery Method and Timing
Delivery is automatic and immediate. The personal link is sent to your email within a few minutes after the payment is completed. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder or contact us for assistance.
5. Personal Use Only
The link and access to the mystery are personal and non-transferable. You are not permitted to share your link, resell the Mystery, or redistribute any part of the content.
6. Game Progress
Your progress in the Mystery is saved automatically and linked to your personal access link. You can return to the story and continue where you left off using the same personal access link.
7. Refund Policy
Refunds are subject to the conditions outlined in our Refund Policy. You may waive your right to a 14-day withdrawal period under EU law in exchange for immediate access.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, visuals, story elements, puzzles, and code associated with the Mystery are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the Mystery.
9. Disclaimer
The mystery is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for technical issues caused by your browser, device, or internet connection.

This website and the puzzle experience "the Mystery" are operated by Niklas Järvenpää, located in Helsinki, Finalnd. If you have any questions about this privacy policy or your data, feel free to contact us.

- When you purchase the mystery (via Paddle):
- Your name and email address
- Payment information (handled directly by Paddle)
- When you play the mystery (via Firebase):
- Your unique access token or ID
- Your game progress and actions
- Your IP address and general device metadata
We do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary to deliver and maintain access to the Mystery.
3. How and Why We Use Your Data
We collect your data to:
- Fulfill your purchase and send your access link
- Save your progress and allow you to resume where you left off
- Detect and prevent misuse or fraud (e.g., abuse of game access links)
4. How and Where Data is Stored
Your payment and email information is processed and stored securely by Paddle. We do not see or store your payment details. Your game state is stored securely using Firebase services, hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure.
We take reasonable steps to secure your data, including using encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to only what is needed to run the Mystery.
5. Legal Basis (for EU/EEA Users)
We process your data on the following legal grounds:
- Contractual necessity: to deliver your purchase and provide access
- Legitimate interest: to prevent abuse and secure the game environment
6. Sharing of Data
We do not sell or rent your data. Your data is shared only with the following third-party services:
- Paddle (for payment processing)
- Firebase (Google Cloud) (for hosting, authentication, and database)

- Object to processing in some cases

Refund Policy
I want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase of the Mystery puzzle experience. If you're not satisfied with the product for any reason, you are eligible for a full refund.
To request a refund:
- Contact me via email at contact within 14 days of your purchase.
- Include your order email or Paddle transaction ID.
- Provide a short explanation of why you weren't satisfied. This helps me improve the mystery.
I will manually review your request and process the refund through Paddle, our payment provider. Once approved, Paddle will return the payment to your original payment method.
Important Notes:
- Refunds are processed via Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for this transaction.
- Refunds may take several business days to appear depending on your payment method.
- Abuse of the refund policy (e.g. completing the mystery and requesting a refund without cause) may result in denial of future purchases.
